†How Step Credits Work
Every action your automations take consumes Step Credits. 1 Step Credit = 1 step executed on any trigger — regardless of whether it pulls data, evaluates a condition, sends an email, or writes a file.
Step Credits are counted per execution, not per automation. A single automation run can consume many credits depending on how many steps it contains and how many rows or items it processes:
- A rule checking 50 campaigns — 50 credits
- A report sent to 3 recipients — 3 credits
- A daily cost-sync across 20 traffic sources — 20 credits per run
Step Credits reset at the start of each billing period and do not roll over. You can top up at any time with an add-on pack above.
*How AI Credits Work
AffZero uses an AI credit system to meter usage of AI-powered features. Credits are deducted after each AI call based on the actual compute consumed — not a flat per-call charge.

Credits are calculated from the number of tokens processed by the AI model. Tokens are the basic units of text the model reads and writes — roughly 1 token per word. The credit cost of any given action depends on:
- Which model is used — simple tasks (generating an invoice number, enhancing a short instruction) use faster, cheaper models. Complex analysis across large datasets automatically uses a more capable model.
- How long your prompt and data are — more rows, longer instructions, and richer context cost more tokens and therefore more credits.
- How long the response is — output tokens cost more than input tokens.

Credits reset at the start of each billing period based on your subscription anchor date. Unused credits do not roll over. Add-on credit packs can be purchased separately.
