AffZero vs ChatGPT or Claude on Your Tracker's MCP Server

Trackers like Affise now publish MCP servers, so you can ask ChatGPT or Claude about your data. What that covers, what it doesn't, and where AffZero fits.

Updated

The short answer

Connecting ChatGPT or Claude to your tracker's MCP server is a good, cheap way to ask questions about your data in plain language, and it answers when you ask. AffZero is built for the work that has to happen whether or not anyone asks: scheduled reports, hourly checks, invoices, emails to partners, and changes across several trackers, with every run logged. Many teams will use both: a chat for questions, AffZero for the jobs that must run every day.

Questions in plain language=Agent Zero answers from your tracker data and knows each platform's report types.=What it's good at, on any tracker with an MCP server.
Runs without anyone asking✓Hourly, daily, weekly or monthly, or when an email or webhook arrives.Mostly runs when you ask. Some AI apps can repeat a prompt on a schedule, with little control over each step.
Changes in the tracker✓Edits offers, campaigns, costs and partners where the tracker's API allows, after a confirmation.Depends on the server. Affise's MCP server, for example, is read-only.
Trackers covered✓Affise, Binom, CAKE, Voluum, Everflow, BeMob, RedTrack, FunnelFlux Pro and three traffic sources, by API.Only trackers that publish an MCP server.
Emails, invoices, Google Sheets✓Built-in steps, with approval before anything is sent.Needs more connectors, or copying the answer out by hand.
Same result every time✓A saved workflow runs the same steps every time, and each run is logged.Answers can differ between chats, even for the same question.
PriceAn AffZero subscription.✓Included in an AI plan you may already pay for.
Setup=Add an API key and pick a preset, or describe the workflow.=Paste the server URL into your AI app and sign in.

Choose AffZero if…

  • ✓The same report or check has to run every day, whether or not anyone remembers.
  • ✓You need to change things in your tracker, not only read from it.
  • ✓You work across more than one tracker or traffic source.
  • ✓Partners or finance should get emails and invoices without someone pasting chat output.

Stick with AI chat + MCP if…

  • →You mostly want quick answers to one-off questions.
  • →Your team already pays for ChatGPT or Claude, and your tracker has an MCP server.
  • →Nothing needs to happen on a schedule or reach anyone outside the chat.

Why this comparison exists

More trackers now publish MCP servers. Affise has a hosted one you can add to ChatGPT or Claude in a few minutes, and Voluum publishes one too. It's a fair question: if an AI chat can already read my tracker, what's left for a tool like AffZero?

Quite a lot, as it turns out. But the chat is genuinely useful, and this page tries to be clear about where each one wins.

What a chat on MCP does well

Ask a question, get an answer from live data. "Which offers grew fastest in Germany last week?" "Why did trafficback spike on offer 1180 yesterday?" For one-off analysis, a general AI chat with a good MCP server is quick, flexible and often already paid for.

If that's all your team needs, you may not need anything else.

What it doesn't do on its own

AI chat on MCP

  • Answers when someone opens a chat and asks
  • Read-only on some servers, including Affise's
  • One tracker per server, where a server exists
  • The answer stays in the chat until someone copies it

AffZero

  • Runs on a schedule, an email or a webhook
  • Edits the tracker, with a confirmation first
  • Affise, Binom, Voluum and more in one workflow
  • Sends the email, builds the invoice, fills the sheet

The difference is less about intelligence and more about operations. A daily report that only happens when someone remembers to ask isn't a daily report. An invoice that has to be copied out of a chat window still costs a person time. And a write action without an approval step and a log is hard to trust at scale.

Use both

Many teams will end up with both: a general AI chat for questions, and AffZero for the jobs that have to run every day. AffZero's own chat, Agent Zero, can also connect to the Affise and Voluum MCP servers, so questions and workflows can live in one place if you prefer.

A good split looks like this:

  3. 3Save it as a workflowAffZero, once
  4. 4Run every dayAffZero, on a schedule

Frequently asked questions

What is an MCP server?+

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI apps such as ChatGPT and Claude call another product's tools. A tracker's MCP server exposes things like 'get stats' or 'find offers' so the AI can use them while you chat.

Can I just use Claude or ChatGPT with the Affise MCP server instead of AffZero?+

For questions about your Affise data, yes, and it works well. Affise's server is read-only, though, and a chat doesn't send partner emails, build invoices or run hourly checks on its own. Those are the jobs AffZero is for.

Does AffZero use MCP too?+

Yes. Agent Zero can connect to the official Affise and Voluum MCP servers with your sign-in, alongside AffZero's own direct API connections.

Is AffZero's AI agent safe to give write access?+

Agent Zero shows a confirmation card before every change, and automations only do what their steps say. Runs & Logs records each step of every automated run.
